We are excited to announce the release of the official Mendocino Ridge AVA map. The map is available as a 24″x36″ map poster print and as a digital download. Here’s a link to view the map:
Mendocino Ridge is the only non-contiguous AVA in the United States. Unlike all other regions which are a single area, Mendocino Ridge AVA is a collection of ridge-tops on the Mendocino coast. The ridges protrude like islands above the fog which covers most of the coastline. It is a beautiful wine region producing some phenomenal grapes. Prince of Pinot did a great post on the region.
