About Irvine Family Vineyards

Located two miles southeast of Ashland, the topography of our mountainous vineyard is defined by a prominent ridge running south and north across the southern end of the Rogue Valley near Emigrant Lake. The result is a steep east facing exposure with good morning sun that sits at 2,100 feet elevation with a Mediterranean/Maritime climate where the annual precipitation averages 20 inches (510 mm). Our vineyard soils consist of Darrow silty clay loam; which is rich in nutrients and provides for excellent drainage and infiltration of water and air that is pperfectly suited to premium quality grape production. With an emphasis on sustainability, our vineyards are L.I.V.E. Certified and planted primarily to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from Dijon clones. Vines are spaced at 4 by 7, with 1,556 vines planted per acre.
