How accurate are the ratings?

Everyvine’s vineyard ratings are not perfect. They are not the final word in whether a vineyard can produce high quality wine grapes. Among other factors, in order to determine what characteristics good vineyards have in common, Everyvine considers the reviews of wine critics like Wine Spectator scores of wines in our database. All wine critics impart a certain level of palate bias in their tastings and this effects ratings.

The most accurate conclusion one can draw from Everyvine vineyard ratings is simply this: The grapes of a vineyard with high rating were grown under conditions similar to those that sold well in the past and produced for wines critics loved.
