Why aren’t some varietals rated?

Everyvine’s ranking algorithms are evidence based and our differentiate between a grape varietals. That means that our algorithms do not use information gathered about one grape varietal to rate grapes of a different varietal. Distinguishing between which type of grape is being grown at a location is important because different varieties of grape responding is very different ways to the same site characteristics and management techniques.

Fundamental to and statistical analysis is collecting enough data to be confindent is your results. For this reason, Everyvine rating algorithms will only rate vineyards growing grape varietals for which the system has collected a substantial amount of data.

As grape growers add more information about their vineyards, the amount of data Everyvine has on various grape varietals increases. Once the system has enough data it begins to rate all vineyards growing that type of grape.
